Bonaseal Product Description:

In Bona family of waterborne products, Bonaseal acts as the foundation on wood floors. In doing so it seals the wood, minimizing grain raise and preventing any finish from getting under the wood’s surface. Ensuring hardwood floors remain in top condition for as long as possible means using a strong foundation — that’s Bonaseal

Bonaseal Recommended Uses:

Bonaseal should be used on floors in both residential and commercial zones. It can should also be used on newly sanded floors to ensure a proper seal is placed on the wood.

Physical characteristics of Bonaseal:

Ingredients- Water, acrylic resin, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether, defoamers.
Color- Milky white when wet
pH level- 7.8
Solids – 36%
Viscosity – (#4 Ford cup @ 25˚ C) approx. 12 seconds
Density - 8.7lbs/gallon (1.04 S.G.)
VOC Compliant - Product has maximum VOC content of 100 grams per liter (.85 pounds per gallon VOC).
Gloss Level: N/A
Odor - Non-offending
Flashpoint - ->200˚F
Stability – 1-year shelf life in unopened container
Packaging – 1-gallon plastic bottle

Clarity - Dries clear
Leveling - Excellent
Drying Time - 2 to 3 hours
Maximum Cure – 100% after one week

Application Procedure:

Following the detailed application process, along with the recommendations, on the back of the Bonaseal are key in ensuring that you get the proper results from your product. It may also be beneficial for you to test the product on a single board separate from the floor to make sure it produces the results you desire.

Before applying Bonaseal, shake can well. Proceed to apply 1 coat of Bonaseal, followed by two coats of Bona waterborne finish. Use clean applicator for finish application.
